PX technology

Our revolutionary PX® Pressure Exchanger® is recognized globally as a trusted, reliable, high-performing energy efficiency device.

Our PX technology uses a ceramic rotor to efficiently capture and transfer pressure energy. By making processes more efficient and environmentally sustainable, the PX can lower costs, save energy, and minimize emissions.

Our line of PX devices is able to handle liquid, gas, liquid with suspended solids, and supercritical fluids, and is ideal for a wide range of pressure ratings from low to ultra-high.

The PX’s ceramic rotor acts as a fluid piston, efficiently transferring energy between high-pressure and low-pressure liquid and/or gas through continuously rotating ducts.

When the PX first entered the market over 30 years ago in desalination, it was an industry-changing technology that made new treatment processes commercially viable. Today, many industries benefit from this technology, and we continue to explore new applications.
