Energy Recovery Inc. (NASDAQ: ERII), the leader in capturing reusable energy from industrial fluid flows and pressure cycles, today announced the appointment of oil and gas industry executive David Barnes as its new Chief Sales Officer. Mr. Barnes will head the company’s global sales organization for all industrial markets, including oil & gas, chemical processing, water and other applications.

As Energy Recovery’s Chief Sales Officer, David Barnes will lead the company’s drive for exponential growth in new markets throughout the world. As the former Executive Vice President of Global Strategic Sales at Honeywell, Mr. Barnes brings deep and highly sophisticated sales experience that spans a number of industries critical to Energy Recovery’s long-range growth.

Prior to joining Honeywell, Mr. Barnes held a variety of senior leadership roles at GE Power, GE Plastics and the SPX Corporation. He served in the U.S. Navy for six years, and was trained as a nuclear propulsion engineer. Mr. Barnes graduated from the University of Washington with a BS in Mechanical Engineering. He is also trained as a GE Six Sigma Black Belt.
