Energy Recovery Inc. (NASDAQ: ERII), the leader in pressure energy technology, announced today that the Company has been selected as a finalist in three regions for the Oil & Gas Awards for demonstrating its innovative work across engineering and technology for its IsoBoost™ and IsoGen™ Systems.  The 2014 Oil & Gas Awards is an industry initiative that recognizes organizations that are leaders in their fields. Over 110 senior executives from Midstream and E&P companies judged 410 entries for the West Coast, Midcontinent, and Southwest Oil & Gas Awards across multiple categories.  The Awards champion companies that display best practice in the key areas of operational excellence, environmental stewardship, corporate social responsibility and excellence in health & safety, all key areas of public interest where misinformation dissipated by industry critics has been a thorn in the industry’s side.

Energy Recovery’s commitment to developing innovative technologies is rooted in its 20-year history.  And now in the energy sector, the company has filed over 30 patents in the upstream and downstream oil and gas sectors this year alone. By adapting its principal technology to new sectors such as oil & gas and chemical processing, Energy Recovery upholds that invention is at the Company’s core.

“We all understand that to produce natural gas and petrochemicals is energy intensive and expensive. And as such, there is a powerful need for our technologies. The past three years have been exciting and invigorating as we returned to our roots as engineering innovators and explore new ways our technology can take on global energy challenges in numerous large industries,” says Tom Rooney, CEO of Energy Recovery. “The fact that we are the only finalist to shortlist in three regions for the esteemed Oil and Gas Awards is proof that we are offering transformative new technology – and we are pleased to be listed alongside this impressive list of fellow innovators.”

Winners of the regional Oil & Gas Awards for the West Coast, South West and Midcontinent will be announced at the Oil & Gas Awards Gala Dinner in Bakersfield on Tuesday, October 21, in Dallas on Thursday, October 23, and in Oklahoma City on Wednesday, October 29th. All three events host a day-long Industry Summit held for participating companies and organizations that have an interest in the region.
